The School Leaving Certificate (SLC) examinations, which is considered to be the iron gate of the school education system, is all set to kick off at at 8 a.m. on Thursday morning Chaitra 12, 2066. Altogether 456,719 students will sit for the SLC examinations in 1,548 centres across the country.
Of the total 412,592 regular SLC examinee, 193,049 are girls. Likewise, 44,127 students are appearing from the exempted category, of which 25,176 are girls. This statistics/data shows that lakhs of students participated in the SLC exam.
Updated June 18 (as per OCE), a total of 456,719 examinees had appeared for the SLC exam, of which 412,592 examinees were regular and 44,127 exempted. (This is in contrast to the previous number, who will give the true number of SLC appeared students????)
According to Examination Controller Chitra Devkota, every examination centre has a centre chairman. 2,298 assistant chairmen and 18281 examination invigilators will monitor the exams.
About 15,480 security personnel will provide security during the exams.
